Year 6 Transition for students joining Year 7 in September 2020
We look forward to welcoming all students who will be joining Rosebery School in September. Initial welcome letters will be sent out in March 2020. When returning your pack please ensure you enclose a copy of your council tax bill from 2019/20 (not your latest one) which shows your address when you applied for your place as well as a copy of one current utility bill.
New Parents’ Information Evening (for parents/carers only)
Summer School will be held on Thursday 23 July and Friday 24 July 2020. The cost is tbc.
First Day of Academic Year 2020 – 2021
Your child will be met at Reception on Thursday 3 September by members of staff and students and will then be directed to the Hall for the Welcome Assembly. Your child will be with their tutor group in the morning and will be given their planner and timetable. If you have consented, your child will also have their biometric print taken to be used in the Canteen. Lessons will start Period 5. Students will not need their PE kit on 3 September.
You will receive your ParentPay activation letter at the Information Evening. You will then be able to add money to your child’s Canteen account. The payment is called ‘Rosebery School – School Meals’. If you have any problems activating your account please let me know.
Please remember to make the payment on ParentPay if you would like your child to have a locker. Payment can be made in September but we will not be able to guarantee that a locker will be available on the first day of term if payment is not made before September.
Year 7 Picnic
The Parent Staff Association (PSA) are once again hosting the annual Year 7 Picnic on Saturday 12 September from 12.00pm to 2.00pm (date tbc). This is a great opportunity to meet fellow parents for a chat over tea and cake, and for the students to get to know each other better over a game of hoopla! The PSA are a valued part of our community raising much needed funds for the school and the Picnic is the ideal opportunity to find out more about the PSA in an informal way.
