Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG)
It is vital that students learn the skills required in an ever changing global society to manage their learning, career, to sustain employability and achieve personal and economic wellbeing and success throughout their lives. CEIAG focuses on three main areas as set out in the Career Development Institute Framework for careers, employability and enterprise education March 2018.
1) Developing yourself through careers, employability and enterprise education
2) Learning about careers and the world of work
3) Developing your career management, employability and enterprise skills.
CEIAG is delivered in school through the Personal Social Health Citizen Education (PSHCE) programme and the Tutorial Programme in 6th Form as part of the timetabled curriculum alongside a variety of careers events, talks and activities including work experience throughout the year engaging with local businesses and employers to help raise awareness of employability skills.
We have mapped the 8 Gatsby Benchmarks for good careers guidance to our school ethos:

Endeavour – challenge continually to improve and understand that endeavour and effort are central to meeting the highest of expectations. Management. Gatsby benchmark 1, 3 and 8.
